Almost all astronauts on the Apollo Space Programme who successfully completed missions to the moon in the 1960s and 70s describe how fundamentally this experience changed them. In interviews and books they tell of philosophical and spiritual experiences.
Inspired by original quotations, which when assembled form a sort of story, Konrad lets his protagonist walk in the footsteps of the astronauts; barefoot, wearing nothing but a short dress, a seemingly superior vision before the modest beauty of this cold, surreal place. An impression of balance and harmony is created and the apparent contradiction dissipates into a sleepwalk-like weightlessness, like that once experienced by the astronauts.
